Moran and I are in a critical situation. We are being held by huge creatures with sharp claws and a grey scaled shin underneath a spiked black armor. Around us is a circle of soldiers. We can't go anywhere. In front of us is the one who seems to be the commander, his face is shrouded under his helmet, it is like we are staring into an empty, black armor. Outside the circle are the burning huts of the village, the setting sun gives it all a ghastly effect.
The soldiers are becoming impatient, as if we're waiting for something. Then everyone becomes silent, a small person enters the circle. He hardly makes any sound, as if he is hovering.. The person is covered in a black cloak, his face is covered. The skin of his hands is pale, heavy armlets with purple crystals hang from his wrists.
He floats towards the commander, who speaks to him is a strange language, which I don't recognise. The words sound terrifying, and contain no emotion. Then the small person comes towards us. When he looks at me with his bright purple eyes, a cold shiver runs down my spine, he seems to be staring straight into my soul,
but I can't look away. He raises his pale arms, and takes off his hood.
he has a young face, but his eyes contain much wisdom. His short hair is black and has a purple shine.
He extends his hand and holds my forehead.
"Gez nir" he says with an icecold voice.
Suddenly my head is filled with fear, I close my eyes, where his hands touch my skin, cold flows into my body. I see a small dot of light, which slowly fades, there is only darkness and anger. His hand releases my head, I fall on my knees.
When I open my eyes, the light of the setting sun hurts. While I look up, the mage walks towards Moran. I close my eyes and cover my face with my hands.
-M-
The words keep haunting inside my head. "Gez nir" Since that day my life isn't the same anymore. Literally. Day after day, I continue living, but I'm not the one who decides what to do with my body. In any case, the meaning of: 'They can come in handy' has been cleared up.
Every day I'm on the battlefield. Horribly, I have to see myself...SLAUGHTERING innocent people, one after another. But it's unstoppable. The tingling feeling has overcome my entire body.
"Ahh!!" I hear myself shouting, when a great sword leaves a big cut in my arm.
Relieved I feel the pain draining away. But when it's replaced by the familiar tingling feeling, I don't know which is better.
For how long this is going this way, I don't know. Too soon I've lost the count of days. But something slowly changes. Sometimes I notice brief moments of calmness between the hard waves of Dark oppression.

Zarlin and Moran joined up with the dark army.
"Why are they voluntary joining up with that dark army?"
That's the question that occupied my mind since they were captured. I just didn't know.
We decided to follow the dark army to find an answer to my question.
We have seen how they destroyed all the towns and villages and brutaly killed all the peasants and their children.
Dispite of all the killing I've seen I didn't got an answer.
I have seen the army growing, due to a little wizard using the words:"Gez Nir".
The killing didn't end until an other army came to fight them, an army under command of...
-I-
Through the rain, we saw a great army standing in order of battle with the dark army opposite of it. Foot troops, artillry, cavalry- No, the army lacked cavalry. Air troops; those were present. Many winged troops, or troops on winged mounts. We hid some distance away, in a wood in a place not far from the main battle, but with a good overview. We saw scouts from both armies hide in the same place: "Better remain still." I advised, when Sylvaron wanted to attack the dark army's scouts. "We don't want to draw attention; we're soaked, and outnumbered."
I was clear that the new army was sprecialized in the air element. They were not hindered by the rain, and lightning bolts and tornados wiped out swathes of dark soldiers.
Suddenly a house on thre battlefield caught fire. The air-army clearly had the upper hand now. A copse of trees now caught fire! Another house, more woods. The dark army fell back; the army itself caught fire! Angel-like soldiers lead the attack. They wielded massive flaming swords. They cut deep into the dark battlelines. At once, the dark scouts fled the wood they were in. Light, behind us! A sudden gust of wind. From behind us, several figures appeared; Air-element troops.
-Z-
The army's division Moran and I were in, was told we were going to attack a small village. We we would go there with a small part of the army, since there was little resistance expected. Moran would be fighting in the front lines, while I was positioned in the back, among the archers and other Mages. We hadn't wished each other luck anymore, since every battle the last days had been a victory. In attack formation we had marched to the village, which lay in a wide glade inthe forest. But before we reached the village, horns blew in the distance, and numerous winged figures rose at the other side of the glade. The wind gathered strength and lightning pierced the sky. But this lightning wasn't normal, it struck right into our troops! I waited until one of the winged came close, then shot a Solar Ray at him. I hit his wing, which tore off his body, and the figure crashed into our troops, which ruthlessly ripped him apart. On our side were much more casualties, and we got the order to retreat. Messengers were sent to get reinforcements. A fiery glow appeared, I turned and saw the village burning. Then they struck. Angels with flaming swords had collided into the army with great speed, and part of it was now in flames. Angels who couldn't take off fast enough were brutally murdered, sometimes devoured by some beast.
We pulled back until we were in the shelter of the forest, where we were protected from air attacks, and awaited the reinforcements.
-M-
A heavy lightningbolt leaves a big hole on the place where a tree used to stand.
"Oh, help this is going to be rough!" Quickly I dive away in a dredge, which lays a bit deeper into the forest. "How do we need to go on?" I ask a with throwingaxes armed soldier next to me.
"We wait" He answers me briefly. High cries of death sound from the fighting soldiers.
Suddenly it becomes quiet. No more thundersounds. No more lightningflashes. Only the burning remainings of the trees make a soft knispering sound.
I get back on my feet and peek over the battlegrounds. The winged soldiers are waiting a few meter away from the edge of the forest.
"What's happening? Why did they stop? They were winning." A cracking sound makes the entry for a falling tree. Between the trees I spotted numorous giant creatures coming out of the forest.
A loud attackshout from the windarmy causes that the soldiers within a few seconds were all up in the air. But the arrivement of reinforcements gives the Dark army a fresh fighting spirit. As a gigantic flood, the dark soldiers appear from out the forest. One of the huge creatures has pulled a big oak out of the woods and uses it to knock his enemies out of the sky. Tremendous amounts of arrows fly towards a rushing group of winged soldiers. With quite some effort I'm barely able to dodge the attack. The axethrower throws one of his weapons in the direction of the escaping enemy. When some of them need to dodge it and get to near to the ground, they instantly get pulled out of the air and they're finished. When we start to win some grounds, the battle comes to a halt for a second time.
-S-
"Who are you?" Asked the man who appeared to be the leader of the group.
"I'm Sylvaron and this Ilion. Our friends have been captured by the dark army a few weeks ago."
"We're following them for a while to await the right moment to get them out of there."
"And how do I know that you aren't spies of that dark army?" The leader asked.
"You'll just have to trust us on that." Ilion said to the light armored man.
The man thought for a while and discussed with an other man.
"You're going with us now to our camp and we'll see there what we'll do."
After a small hour of walking, we came at the camp.
"Incredible!" I said. "I haven't seen such a thing in all my life."
I looked around and saw a few hundred airships, floating in the sky above me.
"Welcome to our camp." The leader said.
He signaled to some guys on flying horses and a few moments later we were brought on board of one of the floating ships.
We walked through corridors and through doors, until we stopped by a door.
"Here are you're Quarters. I shall arrange a meeting with the commander. Act like you're at home." The leader said with a friendly smile.
-I-
After a short while I became curious about our room, and examined our room. The first thing I noticed was the bars in the little windows. I thought: logical, they don't want us to fall out of the airship. Sylvaron was a little more suspicious, and checked the door; it was locked. I still thought this was logical, they didn't know whether we were spies after all. The room was pretty simple; two beds, a little table, but otherwise nothing.
We just sat there for a long time. All that time, nobody came. No sounds on the hall either. Sylvaron looked out of the window every now and then. Far away, the battle was visible. Wounded were brought to other airships. We saw that caught enemy soldiers were brought to the same airship as us.
Suddenly, the ship moved. Sylvaron looked out of the window. "All ships are moving!" I went to the other window. Indeed, almost all activities on the ground were gone. The wind army troops were all moving towars the dark army. The airships, large and small, followed. Maybe the dark army was defeated, and now the wind army is going in pursuit!
But suddenly, a dragon flew past the airship. A dark-colored dragon, not one of the yellow or ice-blue colored dragons of the dark army. We heard sounds of a battle. A stream of icicles cut a hole into the airship's hull, just big enough to give a better overview. In the distanc, we saw the siege towers of the dark army. That must mean we're nearing the dark army's camp.
The airhip started to lean to one side and lose height. Beneath us, we saw that the field was covered in fighting and dead warriors. Huge monsters; the winged soldiers with flaming swords; masses of infantry; it was chaos. And the airship kept losing height.
-Z-
The dark army, with regained hope by the reinforcements, fought like never before. One fighter with two swords kept fighting even when his arm was cut off, and took a brute revenge on the offender by decapitating him. The battle kept going, because both armies got constant reinforcements. A whishing sound, above us a flock of Black dragons flew by. One dragon dived down, and landed amidst the air troops. He was immediately attacked, but the attacks couldn't harm him.
He sent a black-purple flame through the army, which melted anything it touched.
Screams of burning troops slowly died away. The dragon took off again, and joined the others. Slightly hestitating a swordfighter of the air army came towards me. How he managed to reach me, I don't know, but he attacked me.
"Pathetic, trying to attack a Mage on your own" I said cold, right before I scorched the flesh from his bones. The feeling was still here, the curse hadn't vanished. The tingling feeling in my body became stronger, a lust to kill awoke.
"What is that over there?" an archer next to me yelled, he pointed in the distance.
The airships came floating in our direction, surrounded by the dragons who flew over earlier. one of the airships was descending fast, and looked quite ragged already. It crashed in the heat of the battle, and was completely demolished by both parties. There appeared to have been prisoners from our army in there, and they immediately started fighting.
Now some smaller airships arrived, armed with ballistas and manned by mages.
Strengthened by the hate caused by the curse, I gathered my energy and prepared the strongest spell so far. I formed a Fireball larger than the trees, the mages and archers around me flinched. A beam of light erupted from the back of the ball, which shot away like a firearrow. The ball made a fiery line through the air, before it pierced straight through an airship, crashed into another airship and exploded with a heavy bang. The airship was ripped to shreds, and others around it blown away, some caught on fire. I collapsed, deadly exhausted, and layed there more dead then alive, having barely enough energy in my body to keep breathing.
-M-
The dust didn't have the time to settle, when I enter the pierced ship. Several of the other ships it took down with it lay close to it, one in worse condition then the other. On some of them heavy battles started against dark army infantry. But others tried to get airborn as fast as possilbe.
If it wasn't a chaos on the battlefield, it was in here. Two of the five, visible, floors were entirely collapsed; The floor was covered in dirt, from pieces of ceiling to still shaking limbs. I picked the least bad corridor and dived into the darkness.
When my eyes got used to the lack of light, I started to recognise objects.
The straight corridor 'used' to walk from the front to the back end of the ship, with steel gates every couple of meters.
"Hmm, department bandits and other scum." On the sides of the hall they had made sturdy, wooden doors. "Not that they have survived the landing... "
I kick some stones away and take a look in a empty door. A big puddle pool of blood and some flesh-like remainings. I step into the chamber, when a big impact makes the steel to crack. The entire ship starts to vibrate and to shake. The ship crambles with a lot of noise. The ceiling of the corridor comes down, blocking the way out.
"That always happens to me."
"Locked in a crashed airship. The only thing in here are that flesh and the puddle of."
"Blood..."
...!!!...
The tinkling feeling suddenly arises to a sharp pain. I shut my eyes and fall on my knees.
"Blood..." Overwhelmed by the pain, my body gets up. The remainings of a window indicates the outer wall.
I slam into the wall in a blind rage. But it doesn't seem it will cooperate. But it doesn't stop. Without being able to stop myself, I continue to ram the wall.
I start to lose the feeling in my muscles, but nothing happened.
Exhausted from all the effort, the rage decreases. But there is something else taking over. It spreads from my upper body to the rest of my body. Unable to even think, I walk towards the wall. Slowly I stretch out my arms to the cold surface. Outside, under a clouded sky, the battle continues, men fall and win, without any stops.
On the moment when my hands touch the surface of the wall, it explodes. A purple-black spark travels from my body against the wall, leaving a thick black smoke. When I step out of the cloud, I fall unto my knees. The energy has vanished.
But the battle isn't over yet. And my body knows it; The tinkling feeling hasn't left. I draw the blood covered daggers and continue.
Repairs on the balloon of one of the less damaged ships seemed be finished. Other dark army soldiers noticed it too and hurry towards it. With loud noise the ships hull stars to come free from the ground. As we come closer to the ship, the airsoldiers start throwing javelins and other spear-like weapons towards us. The ship is picking up speed and I start running next to it. I notice a small window about two bodylenghts above me.
"But how do I get there?"
I take a leap and land with my first foot on the back of one of the other dark soldiers. "Argh!" With the second foot I take a second leap, pressing down on the head of the soldier. His neck breaks like a small piece of wood. "Pity. But war causes casualties." I reach towards the window and grab hold of its casing. I pull my body up towards the window and smash the glass. I roll inside and try to look around. It's dark.
-S-
With lots of noise the airship which we boarded slid across the battlefield, until we crashed against a big rock with a devastating blow. We were brutally smashed against the wall of our cabins and everything went black.
A moment later I regained conciousness. I had the feeling I had been laying there for some hours, but the sun, which was slightly visible through the black smoke, told me I was there for just a little moment.
Ilion groaned of pain, because of his deep cut in his arm. I ripped a piece of cloth from the bed and tied it around the wound to stop it from bleeding. Some minutes later Ilion started to regain consiousness.
"We have to get out of here" I said to Ilion.
"Before we get burned alive when the ship bursts into flames. I wish Moran was here to open this lock."
"If he's still alive" Ilion noticed.
We looked out of the little windows to see who was winning, until we heard someone fumble at the lock. Quickly we took two legs of the bed and positioned behind the door.
The door opened and Ilion gave the man in black rags a tremendous smack on his head.
"Nicely done Ilion! Now check if he has any real weapons, we'll be needing them."
Just at that moment I turned the still living body.
-I-
"Millian?" I shouted. I looked at Sylvaron, who stared at the figure on the ground with unbelief. "You know this guy?" He asks. The person had a dark, brown-green skin. I pulled the hood off the head. "It really is Millian... How could he be so stupid?" The hood hid huge ears, like mine, but bigger. Millian is as big as a human. He's half human, half kobold. He was an outcast in my cave, and worked, or so it is said, on its destruction. No one has seen him since this disaster. I told this to Sylvaron, who could barely believe the story; the man looked hurt and weak.
"And now? On which side would he be now?" The half-dryad inquires. He has most experience with healing, so he was wondering if we should help him or not. I don't know. "We can at least bring him with us, as a prisoner of war if nothing else." Millian is skinny so quite lightweight.
We carry millian through the open door. That is quite hard in such a half-ruined airship. We hear beatings from upstairs, but we keep on carrying our load.
At the end of the hall, we meet an air-army soldier. "Ah survivors!" He calls out.
"Hurry, you can escape through here." he starts climbing the stairs to lead us, but we hear rummaging from upstairs. We look at each other surprised, but then we see the black-clad figure storm at us with dagger. The beams of light creeping though the wood are crossed with black lightning raging around the figure. We drop Millian, and grab the bed supports we took with us for weapons...
-Z-
A ray of Sunlight woke me up, I was laying somewhere near the forest. It seemed they had tossed me aside when I was no longer usefull. I blink my eyes, did I just see two blue sparks there?
"The crashed airship is moving again!" a scout shouts.
I stand up and look in the direction he's pointing. the airship that crashed into a rock earlier is partially covered in tiny sky-colored creatures, which seem to have repaired it. Most of the huge air balloons from which it hangs are inflated, two are still empty.
Then it started to hail. Vision was decreased, and the hail savaged heads and struck holes in armor.
A cold rush of air catches my attention, I see a small figure accelerating away from us, towards the infantry. The head of the scout lands in the grass, he hadn't have the time to scream. The commander didn't notice the death of the man beside him until the headless body collapsed. The wound was frozen tight, so no blood spilled out.
"Great skill" he said without any grief or shock in his voice, "Get that warrior here, alive."
He turned to me. "Your Solar skills might be usefull here, join them" he said while pointing at a trio of warriors.
In the distance fountains of blood started to erupt, the woundfreeze skill was obviously only used for stealth reasons. The four of us mounted black raptor-like creatures, and started the pursuit.
The chased warrior seemed to have passed our own troops without causing any casualties, but when we came closer to the core of the fight we saw blooded limbs scattered everywhere, and astonished dark soldiers standing in puddles of their enemies blood. Deeper into the air forces it became clear where the blood fountains came from. Everything that had crossed the warrior's path was reduced to formless chunks of flesh and shattered bones. The raptors were fast, and we began to catch up with the warrior. the air troops around us just started to get up from the shockwave, when the shock of staring in a compagnion's split skull caught them. The warrior became visible when one of it's blades suddenly shone, and a column of water exploded from the army. Another explosion sends ice spikes flying everywhere, one of our group gets nailed, falls from his raptor, which stops, then eats the half dead body. The three of us continue. The warrior is now flying through the air, jumping from angel to angel. Corpses rain down.
"How can we follow?" the swordfighter in our group asks, "We can't fly!"
"No?" the ranger asks, "Let's see about that!"
He sticks a piece of flesh to an arrow and shoots it towards the warrior, then drops the chains on which we hold the raptors. Bat-like wings unfold from the raptor's shoulders, and he takes off. We do the same and follow. The warrior is speeding towards the airship while shooting ice everywhere. We dodge as much as possible, but are no longer catching up. Then the airship's balloons are completed, and it takes off.
-M-
Drops of blood fall on the ground. The eyes of the victim turn upwards and the body drops down. The hallway is empty.
"Further we go."
On the left and right sides of the hallway there are heavy wooden celldoors. The hallway turns right at an end which is hardly visible. Two cell doors after the last carnage I notice how quiet it is in this part of the ship. Even the heavily penetrating sounds of the machine chamber don't seem to come here. Without windows in the hallway or in the walls of the warrants, there's no sound from the outside.
I'm exhausted but I already expelled the thought of taking some rest, if I wouldn't do that, the curse or that man in cape would do it for me. Even in this calm environment my heart keeps beating like I'm in the middle of a fight. The third last cell door is a bit open. On the floor lays a man in a dark cloak. But my body walks by without noticing. Probably the prisoner isn't interesting enough. A shade slowly covers the spot of light on the floor.
-Z-
The warrior keeps climbing by smashing incoming angels towards the battlefield, where they crash into troops like bombshells. Our raptors are obviously not used to flying with someone on their back, we have to hold on tight not to fall off their back. We follow the warrior with dazzling speed, the raptors act on their own to dodge the frozen spikes. We're coming closer to the rising airship, with ever increasing speed. A huge block of ice is flying in our direction, the raptors dodge. I can abrely keep my grip on the raptor's smooth scales. The archer is less lucky, he is slung off the back and the raptor, released of any guidance, dives down towards the falling body. It rips the body in two in mid air, blooded entrails rain down of the troops below. I see this happening in a glance, then I climb back on my raptor. The warrior is nearly there, and jumps through a crack in the ship's hull. The raptors are less precise, and the remaining member of my party smacks hard against the cold steel. His deceased body sticks to the side of the ship for a moment before falling to it's grave. The raptor he was riding had dodged the ship at the last moment and now flew around taking random bites out of the still falling angels. My raptor had found a hole big enough to soar through, we entered the ship and slid down a long hallway before crashing through a steel door and hitting the wall of the room behind it. I somehow managed to stay away from walls and floor, and miraculously could stand right away. I expected the raptor to get up and attack me, so I ran towards the door while preparing a Light spell. This was not needed though, and on a closer lok i noticed that the raptor's grey mass was spilling from it's shattered skull. A growing puddle of black blood started to surround the creature, I closed the bent door for as much as possible, and held still for a moment.
Where had the warrior gone? I tried to remember about there the crack was where he entered the ship, and decided it was below where i entered. About halfway through the hallway, I noticed a staircase going down, and started running. The hall was slipperly with blood and pieces of skin and scales from the raptor. I'm descending the steps when I hear someone running through the hall behind me. I turn just in time to see the warrior speeding by. He must have taken another set of stairs up. I turn around and follow the warrior, which turns around the corner, past the room at the end. As I pass it, I see the black blood has already flown from underneath the door. Running through the next hall, I notice it's becoming more quiet. We're obviously gouing deeper into the ship. Around another corner, the doors have bars before the windows, and it's getting darker. Sounds from outside barely reach here anymore. At the end of the hall I see people standing, and prepare for a repeation of the slaughter.
-M-
I turned the corner at the end of the hallway. An open door leads into an officersquarter. About a dozen airsoldies stand next to a large wooden table discussing something that seems to frighten them.
"Have you heard what happend on the field?"
"As our troops were doing well fighting off that dark army, something appeared, travelling at great speed from the enemies ranks towards the front. Simply annihalating all our men. They didn't even got the chance to defend or even flee from it"
The first soldier made little sound as his blood started pouring into his lungs. The others only noticed me after the body dropped down to the ground. By the time the soldiers picked up their weapons the next couple were already severly wounded. I step towards the soldier standing to my left, but he blocks the attack quite well with the short sword he's handling. From the corner of my eye I notice the other soldiers closing in on me, trying to surround me. I deal some blows to various enemies already nearby and suddenly start running towards the other end of the group. With each step I take I try to gain as much speed as possible. My hart is racing like a maniac, my lungs pump large ammounts of air in and out. It's getting colder, my breath condensates in the colder surrounding air. I jump towards the soldier at the end of the group, stabbing both daggers deep into his chest. He falls backwards to the ground, I roll over him retrieving both daggers. Crouched to the ground I turn around, all the remaining soldiers facing me. With one slash of a large blade an in black and blue dressed warior slices two soldier's heads off.
-Z-
The warrior is fast, I can just see him turning a corner into another cell. I run past the fresh corpse of an air soldier, past two cell doors. Two warriors stand at the end of the hall, both holding a club. They don't seem to have noticed me, the reason becomes awfully clear. A wave of blood erupts from the cell on the right, I rush to it to see what's happening.
For an instant I see the warrior standing there, completely clean of blood, but standing in a sea of it. There's something weird to the warrior, then I notice what.
It's a girl.
A young and beautiful girl.
I don't have time for more thoughts, a battle is raging. I see an air troop, seemingly some higher-up, leap over the table in the room, then thrusting his broadsword into the opposing wall. He crashes through the metal pane, into the next room. The girl has already leaped after him. Then I see Moran crouched on the floor, completely drenched in blood. I rush into the cell and look through the hole in the wall. My head nearly gets slashed off by a passing blade, the warrior finally seems to have a worthy opponent. She leaps from wall to wall, attacking the air commander like a furious storm. Blood flies everywhere, they are both heavily injured.
My orders were to capture her alive, so I can't have her dying here.. I leap through the gate while trying to stay away from flying steel, draw a spear of light and stab the air soldier in his stomach. The warrior reacts immediately with a blast of darkness, which drives me into the steel of the outer wall. I barely manage to remain concious, and see the warrior getting the same treatment by a sweep of the air soldier's blade. In this moment of silence, he bursts through the cell door and runs out to the hall. Through the opening I see Moran standing there, ready to slice some more necks.
"Don't!" I yell at the top of my voice, but Moran is deaf to my words. His daggers carve into the commander's neck when the warrior sends forth a second wave of darkness. Moran is blown out of sight, I follow the girl through the door. The two warriors I saw earlier turn towards me, their clubs raised. I see the fight move ahead, and speed after it. They move up the stairs while smashing each other through the hallway. They keep moving up, I feel a rush of air catching my bloodstained hair. Moran has regained consciousness and together with the two warriors he's running after me. A few steps, and I break into fresh air. Blasts of ice are crossed by lightning, the duelists deployed their magic. The girl is still flying around the air soldier, spraying blood everywhere. Inflicting more and more damage, they slowly move on.
Then the air soldier jumps, and flies his now crimson wings to an artillery platform. The girl leaps up and slings herself onto the platform. A blast of lightning shoots through her body, she falls backwards over the edge and lands hard on the main deck. The air soldier jumps down, his blade ready for the final blow when my fireball explodes next to him. He's slung against a support and collapses. I get rewarded for this by a spike of ice nailed through my shoulder. I flinch, but keep standing. Both warriors have gotten up and are moving, half in the air, towards the front of the ship. Then the soldiers wing is sliced off, writing an arc of blood as it falls towards the war below. Unable to fly anymore, he keeps backing up, while still getting roughed up by the girl. His back hits the railing, there's nowhere to back away to anymore. On one side torture and pain, on the other a quick escape to death.
He chose the latter, and falls backwards over the edge.
The girl screams.
A pillar of ice shoots up from the ground far below, colliding with the air soldier and hurling him back on the deck. Nails of frozen darkness pierce through his limbs and lift him off the surface. Blood flows from his body, soon forming a stream that runs off the deck. The girl closes in on him, holding both katanas before her.
"This is your atonement for the death of my parents, and all those who died down there to your guilt" she says with a voice shivering with anger.
"Forgive m.." the air soldier mutters.
His screaming pierces my body as the blades enter his scarred flesh and slide through his stomach. Blood and entrails bulge from the wound and fall down in a pool of blood. The girl moves her blades through his limbs, cutting muscle tissue and scraping bone. The red stream strengthens, and more than just blood flows by.
The screams echo and die. The soldier lost his last drop of blood.
I see the warrior collapse and rush towards her. The ice pin in my shoulder is rapidly melting. I turn her on her back and check her pulse, it's calm but weak. Her face shows the most peaceful expression I've ever seen.
Then I hear steps, a blunt object lands on my head and I fall backwards. Someone leans over me.
"Ilion?" I mumble, then I faint.
